Classes & Departments.

Our classes are carefully designed to educate you about all aspects of filmmaking and help you specialize in your area of interest. Please refer to the below for the division of our classes into each of our departments.

Courses Description.

Cinematography

Camera Basics

This class is designed to help you explore videography from a creative lens and transform the simplest of setups into a striking visual masterpiece. From altering focal distance to iris dimensions and other settings at a manual level, you will discover the effect of focus and light in composing your frame. By the end of this class, you will feel more comfortable controlling your camera's settings to improve the quality of your shots.

Focus Pulling

When the best of shots get designed, you're the executor, and it all depends on you. Because being a focus puller is one of the most challenging jobs on set, this class is designed to build your cinematographic muscles and expand your skills through intensive practice sessions. By the end of this class, you will learn the art of maintaining a sharp image quality while telling a story and animating its movement, just perfectly.

Composition

Shot composition is like choosing your words; by changing one aspect, the whole meaning can change. This class will teach you to craft all the elements of your frame, from the center to the edges, through basic techniques that make a frame look naturally artistic. By the end of this class, you will be able to improve the aesthetics of your film and use the visual power of storytelling.

Lighting

Beyond brightness and darkness, we invite you behind the scenes to discover the making-of lighting for a variety of moods in the same scene. In this class, we fragment the aspects of lighting, delving into its properties and accessories that help give your film a cinematic feel like no other. By the end of this class, you will learn how lighting integrates with other filmmaking elements to create your desired effect.

Camera Movement

Filmmaking can't get more exciting. In this class, you will learn how to use camera movement to unfold your story events and add visual interest to the shots. Introduce yourself to the basic techniques of directing camera motion and discover how your favorite movies got shot. By the end of this class, you will understand how certain shooting techniques can affect your audience's response and make a story more engaging.

Acting

Intro to Acting

This introductory acting class exposes you to the different techniques used to approach acting. It involves a fundamental understanding of what acting is about and the basic skills required to lead a role, through acting exercises, warm-up games and improvisation. By the end of this class, you will understand acting from a professional perspective and position your performance on the right track.

Body Movement

This class teaches you how to use your body to serve any role you want to play because an expressive physical presence is a must-have for professional actors. By the end of this class you will learn to gain control over your body movement, use it for different purposes and create the physical life of your character to attain a naturally convincing performance.

Articulation

Because an actor's voice is among the key supporting tools to character, this class aims at maximizing the potential of voice through breathing, projection, tone variety and clear speech. By the end of this class, you will learn about the fundamentals of voice and how to sustain them for expressive storytelling.

Character Analysis

We apply it every day trying to understand why someone thinks, speaks and behaves in a certain manner. If you wish to develop critical thinking skills, a sharp eye for detail, and a deeper understanding of human psychology, this class is for you. By the end of this class, you will learn to read between the lines and beyond the script, extracting its characters' traits, imagining their past and anticipating their future.

Advanced Acting

This intensive class brings your confidence, openness and passion, all to light in front of the camera. Through professional guidance and well-devised training, you will develop new creative powers and an acting style that is unique to you. By the end of this class, you will be ready to meet your next casting director with a show reel that expresses how artistically integrated are your movement, voice and character.

Directing

Intro to Directing

In this class, you will understand the grammar of filmmaking, the art of creating a director's vision and the tools of visualizing it on screen. By the end of this class, you will learn the responsibilities of the director, and the criteria upon which to choose the shot sizes, angles, camera lenses and composition that best tell your story.
